Outline

"Energy Sustainability Forum" in IR3S hosts the International Workshop on Sustainable Transportation and Energy to share leading-edge technologies among academia and industries to promote further research on sustainable transportation.
"Sustainability" is one of the key challenges for the transportation. In that sense, growth of population and energy demand in developing countries and aging and depopulation in developed countries are serious and critical issues for the future transportation. Moreover, as countries and societies develop, people demand transportation not only "speed", "better accessibility", and "safety" but also, "comfort" and "fun". Sustainable transportation should be developed to fulfill functional, emotional and social aspects at the same time. This workshop covers air, maritime and land transportation and aims at sharing leading-edge technologies, systems and energy scenarios for the future transportation which satisfies people’s wants and needs among the researchers to contribute on building sustainable society. The contents of speeches and discussions will be published later.
